    Visual Arts: Photography
I went active as a visual artist in 2010. I have created photographs and digital pieces for Ventura Charter School, Ventura County Behavioral Health, Buenaventura Gardens and the Grant Park Conservancy. Also, there are pieces in the collections of and on display at Ventura Unified School District and Community Memorial Hospital. My work in photo documentary has appeared in VC Reporter and Ventura County Star. Beginning in late 2020 my focus has been on seascapes. Combining elements of impressionist abstraction with the immediacy of street photography. I enjoy the way light moves through the water. Primal origins of life on this planet. Waves are beautiful things. Luminous travellers.

I was born in Wales and now live in California having had the good fortune to visit most of Europe and some of America along the way. I find almost everything around me to be an inspiration. I work mostly in pencil and acrylics but I will experiment with any medium to achieve the effects I desire. I love to draw animals, from pets to wildlife. Some of my portraits are quite silly, intended to bring a smile, others have a more serious message. My "Barely There" collection of mixed media works represent a few of the fast disappearing exotic species. I often work with minimal color palette but if I'm in digital mode, anything goes, it all depends on my mood. I think my motto if I had one would be "You're never too old to learn." Some of my designs are now available on pillows, pots, purses and a few other things for the home. All works in this portfolio are owned and copyrighted by me. Any reproduction, modification, publication, transmission, transfer, or exploitation of any of the content, for personal or commercial use, whether in whole or in part, without written permission from myself is prohibited by law.
