The international star Ute Lemper is acclaimed for her work on the stage, in films and in concert, including the Berlin Cabaret Songs, the works of Kurt Weill and Berthold Brecht, and the songs of Edith Piaf and Astor Piazzolla, the fabulous Argentinian Tango composer. Of a recent concert, Finn Pollard wrote: “There are some live performance occasions when critical comment almost becomes superfluous and you simply have to acknowledge that you were privileged to be present while greatness was at work.”
