Stoneworks Studios is the working stone sculpture studio/gallery space for Michele Chapin’s interior and exterior stone sculptures. Together with partner Guy Wilson, Michele operates a studio which serves as a venue for diversified community exhibitions, events, classes, workshops, and concerts.

The Stoneworks Studio Gallery Features monthly exhibits as part of First Fridays Ventura. These themed shows are one-night group exhibits on the first Friday of each month from 6-10 p.m. There is a monthly call to artists with a theme and drop-off dates and times. This is a great opportunity to meet artists who are present and responsible for their own sales. The public is invited to this family friendly event where you can meet the artists, hear great live local music, and enjoy a social setting with hot chai tea and cheesecake. We have a fire pit with chairs and makings for s’mores for big and little kids alike.

We hold ongoing weekly classes, and workshops by appointment in stone sculpture using alabaster and soapstone with Michele Chapin. We have an extensive background in conducting workshops in the studio and at schools with children and adults.

The Westside Ventura Artwalk is one of our best and busiest events of the year. We are one of the biggest stops on the Ventura ArtWalk which is held on the third weekend in July. Stoneworks features 50-plus artists exhibiting and selling their work. Green Art People hosts live music for two days on the Garden stage. Come meet the artists. Stoneworks Studios often has 3,000 visitors during this two-day event.
