Karen Barnard and Dorothea Heger transform trash and ordinary objects along with ink, acryllic, and watercolor into imaginative and intricate works of art.
Karen Barnard takes inspiration from her experiences traveling around the world and creates beautiful, detailed artwork. She uses anything from old newspapers and advertisements to old watch parts and foreign money in her work. After her career at Patagonia, she has retired and can now focus on her art, which we are so grateful for.
Dorothea Heger grew up in Germany and moved to the Unisted States in 1996 with her husband. Through her artist group Rootless, she has recently put on art shows in Germany with her fellow artists. She uses vibrant ink, watercolor, acryllic, and trinkets to create vibrant pieces of art.
