Nancy Dussault in My Life Upon the Wicked Stage

Presented by Rubicon Theatre Company at Rubicon Theatre

The 2017 Janet and Mark L. Goldenson Broadway Concert Series at Rubicon Theatre Company continues with its third concert starring Emmy Award-winner and multiple Tony nominee NANCY DUSSAULT in MY LIFE…UPON THE WICKED STAGE. Remarkably talented both as a singer and actress, this revue follows Nancy’s heady and zany adventures on Broadway and her wild ride in television as the first co-host of Good Morning America and a co-star on the New Dick Van Dyke Show. Expect this Golden Age leading lady to sing the brilliant songs of Richard Rodgers, Jule Styne, Burton Lane, Stephen Sondheim and other treasured favorites by preeminent composers of the stage and screen. Extraordinary musicality and comedic storytelling infuse new meaning into beloved classics such as “Getting Married Today,” “Look to the Rainbow,” “Old Friend” and her iconic “Make Someone Happy.” Nancy is joined by Musical Director Christopher Marlowe and Director Valentine Mayer. NANCY DUSSAULT: MY LIFE…UPON THE WICKED STAGE comes to Ventura for only three performances on Saturday, May 20 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 21 at 2 p.m.

Nancy’s career began in N.Y. clubs like The Blue Angel and The Upstairs at the Downstairs. At only 19, she appeared on “The Ed Sullivan Show,” where she was heralded as Broadway’s brightest new star. Nancy’s star continued to ascend in The Sound of Music, Do Re Mi, Side by Side by Sondheim and Into the Woods. She became a familiar face in homes across the country as the first co-host of “Good Morning America.” Her charm and humor were undeniable when she co-starred in “The Dick Van Dyke Show” and co-starred with Ted Knight in “Too Close for Comfort.”
