Old Time Country, Bluegrass, and Gospel Music

Presented by Old Time Country Bluegrass Gospel Music Association at Poinsettia Pavilion

Free musical stage performance at the Poinsettia Pavillion. All musicians are local residents and members of the Old Time Country Bluegrass Gospel Music Association, a 501(c) 3 Non-Profit.

Most of the early country songs performed will be 1970s and prior.  Songs performed associated with Western Swing are 1950s and prior.  Songs performed Bluegrass style can date back to the late 1700s.  This genre will include hoedowns, jigs, waltzes, reels, hornpipes, polka, and rags associated with early American fiddle players.  These fiddle tunes are the basic that Bill Monroe used to form Bluegrass music. Most of the Gospel tunes are from the late 1800s and early 1900s and were sung in rural southern churches.
