This genre will include hoedowns, jigs, waltzes, reels, hornpipes, polka, and rags associated with early American fiddle players. These fiddle tunes are the basic that Bill Monroe used to form Bluegrass music. Most of the Gospel tunes are from the late 1800s and early 1900s and were sung in rural southern churches.
