Ventura 150th Anniversary Family Fair and Picnic

Presented by City of Ventura Parks, Recreation & Community Partnerships at Plaza Park

Come join your family, friends and neighbors for an old time gathering at our historic Plaza Park in downtown Ventura.  There will be carnival games, races, pie eating contests, a scavenger hunt throughout downtown Ventura, musical performances, an old-fashioned barbecue and much more!

11:15 AM City Welcome and Opening Remarks (Main Stage)

11 AM - 3 PM Paint Ventura Art Activities (Fir Street)

11:45 AM Mayors’ Pie Eating Contest (Gazebo)

12:30 - 3 PM Million Acts of Kindness Touchstone Art Activity

Picnic Lunch ($1.50 per child for hotdog & chips or fruit. Adult options vary.)

Carnival Games with Kids’ Prizes - FREE Treasure Map Contest - FREE (Info Booth)

Family Interactive Activities - Free

• Learn to plant and care for a fruit seed and take it home

• Play a thaumatrope game that was popular in the 19th century

• Make and take home paper flowers

• Create a touchstone for the Community Mosaic Project
