Ventura County Ballet presents Don Quixote

Presented by Ventura County Ballet Company at Oxnard Performing Arts Center

One performance only, Ventura County Ballet (VCB) will present the historic classic “Don Quixote, de la Mancha” in the beautiful artistic form of dance. The first ballet interpretation dates back to 1740 in Vienna.  VCB’s production will make the audience feel like they’re right in the heart of Spain with striking historic scenic theatrical drop designs created by famous Russian artist Valery Leventhal.

“Don Quixote” will bring the captivating tale of humor, love, chivalry and romance to life. The ballet is beautifully staged by Marina Fliagina after Petipa and Gorsky and danced with brilliant costumes designed for the original Don Quixote production of the Bolshoi Theatre by Vladimir Medved. Medved was the lead costume artist at the Bolshoi Theatre for many years.

This ballet will be sure to entertain audiences of all ages.
