Sidewalks at the Ventura Harbor will be used as a canvas during the weekend of Sept. 10-11 when artists embellish them with chalk, creating vibrant street paintings for the Ventura Art and Street Painting Festival.  Net proceeds from the festival will benefit local charities, including FOOD Share, Inc., Ventura County’s food bank.

The only event of its kind in Ventura County, the Ventura Art and Street Painting Festival will showcase the talents of 50 artists in many mediums, such as painting, photography, pottery and sculpture.  On the adjacent sidewalks, about forty street painters from around Southern California will be creating vivid murals.

Admission to the event is free.
