9th Paint Ventura Free Art Festival in Conjunction with Ventura’s 150th anniversary festival
Find your creative side and explore Ventura’s Art scene at this year’s Paint Ventura April 2nd featuring a variety of Artists in all mediums creating, selling and competing in downtown Ventura

SPRING ART FAIR AND PAINT OUT/ 10am - 4pm at Plaza Park in Downtown Ventura / FREE

Spend the day enjoying local arts and craft vendors as you watch them create in their artisan booths along Plaza Park in Downtown Ventura. More than 70 fine artists and crafts persons display and sell their original work amid a street festival atmosphere in conjunction with the City of Ventura’s 150th Anniversary Festival. This Year's festival celebrates our 9th event with several additions to our Art Festival all centered around a variety of artistic styles and various art representations.

Coming from throughout California the Festival artists’ original works cover the gamut of creative visual categories including painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, ceramics, folk craft, glass, leather, metalwork, wearable art, woodwork, mixed media (2 and 3 dimensional). Paint Ventura features only original work and our original artists are all present on-site to greet festival attendees.

Watch the artists as they create and join in and become an artists of your own by adding your mark to the community canvas, thumbs only. Join the community of artists in Paint Ventura by adding a thumb print in paint to our community canvas to create a fun Spring Mural. At the end of the day our community mural will hang at Red Brick Art for the rest of the month so stop in and see what we can all create together.

QUICK DRAW PAINTING AND DRAWING COMPETITION 12PM - 2PM

Grab your art supplies and join in the all inclusive Quick Draw Paint Out where you have 2 hours to paint/ collage/ draw your work of art from start to finish. Open to All subjects, All mediums and All ages. $10 participation fee,

Or join in and watch the fun happen and be one of the judges to pick the several winners. Artists will be working to create paintings from scratch in a two hour time, giving the public the opportunity to see who an artist bringing a blank canvas to life. Awards will be given and all art will be for sale. 2:30PM Judging will conclude and winners will be announced.

Free Kids Interactive Art Activities- Kids QuickDraw Painting Competition, taking place along side the adult QuickDraw(12-2) kids 12 and under have the chance to paint or draw their own creation. FREE and Open to all subjects, just bring your art supplies and join in the fun. Prizes give to all participants.
