Plein Air Paint Out Along Main St. in Downtown Ventura. Stop by and see all of the artists out painting along Main St creating local works of art.

Wet Canvas Sales at Red Brick Gallery after each day. Stop in the gallery and see what the artists have created in out special exhibit, plus you can purchase one of the great pieces created live along Main St.

Sunday, April 19th 10-5pm – “Paint Ventura Art Fair, Artwalk, Art Activities and Paint Out” Free to the Public

Art Fair- 300 block of Main St. will be closed for our artist booths, workshops and various activities.

More than 100 fine artists and crafts persons display and sell their original work amid a street festival atmosphere throughout Ventura's charming Downtown Streets. This year's festival celebrates our 8th event with several additions to our Art Festival all centered around a variety of artistic styles and various art representations.

Coming from throughout the western portion of the country the Festival artists’ original works cover the gamut of creative visual categories including painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, ceramics, folk craft, glass, leather, metalwork, wearable art, woodwork, mixed media (2 and 3 dimensional). Paint Ventura features only original work and our original artists are all present on-site to greet festival attendees.

We have added several new aspects to the festival, this year's event includes:

50+ Art Vendors working on their art pieces as they sell out of their booths along Main St.
Plein Air Painting on the streets of Downtown Ventura April 16-19th
Plain Air Competition and Exhibit at Red Brick Gallery (5 people's choice awards will be given, stop in and vote for your favorite)
Saturday's Quick Draw Competition - Artists will be working to create paintings from scratch in a two hour time, giving the public the opportunity to see who an artist bringing a blank canvas to life. Awards will be given and all art will be for sale.
Lend your mark to Paint Ventura's mural project in the Mini Park

Workshops

Painting Party Friday, April 17th 6-8:30pm

Join the Gallery Girls for our unique and fun Wine Tasting-Painting Party where you have a fun afternoon “uncorking” your creative spirits as the pleasurable combinations of wine, painting and fun come together to create an incredible afternoon, only $39 and includes all supplies, class and wine. This is the perfect way for you to get your hands dirty and find your own creative side. The best part of the class is each person gets to make the painting their own with their own colors and details while being lead by our resident professional artist.
