Sleepy Hollow: The Lost Diaries

Presented by Every Now and Then Theater at Unknown

Actor Malcolm McDowell is the Celebrity Guest Host for Every Now and Then Theatre’s radio drama, "Sleepy Hollow: The Lost Diaries." NewsTalk 1590 KVTA will broadcast the three-time international award winning thriller on Friday, October 31 at 11 p.m., and Saturday, November 1 at 6 p.m.. The hour-long drama is based upon Washington Irving's original story about schoolmaster Ichabod Crane’s infamous Halloween encounter with a headless Hessian horseman. This version offers up a surprise twist at the end.

Celebrating 25 years of broadcast radio dramas, Every Now and Then Theatre has cast McDowell in the lead for their upcoming December 2014 production, along with two more of the troupe's former celebrity hosts, Jamie Farr and Chris Hillman. McDowell is cited by many entertainment critics as one of the finest actors of his generation.

As host for "Sleepy Hollow: The Lost Diaries," Ojai resident McDowell introduces the show, and at the breaks relates historical background about Halloween, the real Sleepy Hollow, and author Washington Irving. Closing the show, McDowell reveals the countywide cast of top local actors who were allowed only one rehearsal prior to performing at a site known as Bill's Bar in Camarillo.

"Sleepy Hollow: The Lost Diaries" was written for broadcast based on the original story. The cast is Arryck Adams, Lloyd Allen, Jim Barker, Bob Decker, Jim Diderrich, Elaine Fleisher, Shawn W.
