Cruel Season: Artists Reflecting on Drought and Fire

Cruel Season: Artists Reflecting on Drought and Fire

Presented by Museum of Ventura County at Museum of Ventura County

Our land is in the midst of an extreme drought. The effects can be seen in recent wildfires and in the lengthening shores of our lakes and reservoirs. This condition is widely thought to be a result of human caused climate change. This exhibition of photography, drawing, painting, and poetry shows how our local artists and poets responded to these disasters. Their strong reactions serve as an emotional conduit for a community facing a difficult situation. The curators of this exhibition invite you, the audience to search further for more knowledge and possible solutions to these serious concerns.
