Join Ventura's vibrant arts community for a gallery crawl through town every first Friday of the month.

Scheduled for Friday, June 1:

Grand opening of the Vita Center's new location, 28 W. Main St., Ventura. 6-9 p.m.

Featuring John Nava, Tapestries & Paintings

Vita Art Center is celebrating its exciting new location and 10 years of bringing arts education and exhibitions to Ventura with a spectacular exhibition from nationally renowned painter, John Nava. The exhibit will highlight a monumental 27-foot long tapestry of Surfers Point in Ventura, inspired by Georges Seurat's iconic "A Sunday Afternoon On The Island of La Grande Jatte." The show will feature a series of paintings and tapestries.

Bell Arts Factory, 432 N Ventura Ave., 6-9 p.m.

Open Artist Studios

"Picture This: A Fundraiser for the Bell Arts Factory" featuring a silent auction of great photography from Ventura County Star photographers. They are also offering free photography classes, and promoting the Ventura Storytellers Project and "Never 30" history podcast.

In the Tool Room Gallery: New Work on Paper by Rima Muna.
