California native, Andrea Yomtob, blends a powerful illustrative dramatic style with classic feminine figures, landscapes, and still life to create what has frequently been called Neo-Magic Realism. Her work employs unique texturing techniques, multiple layering, and various media.

A graduate of Art Center College of Design, Yomtob earned her BFA in Art cum laude. She is influenced by Symbolist painters such as Gustav Klimt and Modern artists like Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso.   Latin American art has also been a strong influence in Yomtob’s work since she began painting with Omar D’Leon, an internationally renowned artist from Nicaragua, in the early 90s.

Yomtob’s paintings can be found in the permanent collection of Carnegie Museum of Art and exhibits in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, and Carmel.
