Transport Theatre, founded in 2006 by Artistic Director Linda Livingston, and Producer John Procter,  brought Margaret Edson’s “WIT” to audiences in Ventura and Los Angeles, to rave reviews, and an Ovation Nomination for its lead, Linda Livingston. It also produced the wildly popular “Judy’s Scary Little Christmas” in Ventura, followed by Brian Friel’s “Molly Sweeney.”  A  homeless theatre,  shows have been staged variously at Ventura College’s Circus Theatre, The Victory in Burbank, the then-home of 451 Media on Ventura Avenue, and at The Clocktower Inn, also in Ventura. Transport found a temporary (short-lived) home in Ojai, producing “Pinter Play,” two one acts by Harold Pinter, “The Lover and The Dumb Waiter,” followed by John Vanbrugh’s “The Provoked Wife.” Transport is again searching for a new venue (hopefully in Ventura) …either permanently or for a single production.
