Women Behind Bars

Before “Orange Is the New Black” there was “Women Behind Bars,” a big, broad satire on the B-movies of the 1950s. Filled with…well Big Broads. Mary Eleanor, a sweet innocent, lands in the Greenwich Village Woman’s House of Detention where she is schooled in the ways of the wanton by hardened women of the big house.  The sadistic matron and her cronies lead the assault, in this mini-skirted, cleavage filled cage. Will Mary Eleanor survive with her scruples in tact? Or will she join the menagerie of maniacal misfits in order to survive?
