Camera Lucida

In this intimate closing concert of the Festival, the Camera Lucida chamber group present a concert of Brahms and the German composer Friedrich Gernsheim. Brahms, of course, is a giant, but who is Gernsheim? He was a contemporary of Brahms who regarded his friend Friedrich as a master composer. Later, Gernsheim’s work was banned in Germany and he was all but erased from musical history by the Nazis.
